Big News! - New Surroundings Coming Soon
I’ve been looking for a building in NE Tennessee on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains to renovate and call home. A place not too hot, and not too cold. A place just right. I had my heart set on a building in Johnson City, but that didn’t work out. Then, traveled to Greeneville, Tennessee and found THE place. It’s a OLD brick building on East Church Street with just over 6,000 square feet on 2 floors. It needs work, but it’s work I can do. It has a wonderful space for a workshop to work and teach in, and a large gallery space plus room for a nice apartment with a guest room. It’s a block from the General Morgan Inn on Main street. A spectacular renovated 51 room 1880’s hotel in the heart of the historic district.
We closed on the building on November 28, 2018 and I plan to be in Greeneville by late December to begin renovations. I’m looking forward to the challenge, and getting it done, so you can join us in celebrating our grand opening before the end of 2019. It’s time for “George the Subaru Guy" to get back to work! Here is a photo of our new building with the sidewalk in front covered with bright yellow ginkgo leaves. This is a before photo. I will post photos of my progress too.
George is featured in Subaru’s Outback commercial
A curious young Outback couple stops at a remote country store to inquire about some isolated hiking trails. When a mysterious, old blind man offers to take them the way, they’re skeptical at first, but their adventurous spirits soon overrule their fears, and they’re treated to a tour like no other. It’s another reminder that a Subaru Outback can help you see the world-- sometimes in ways you never imagined. Learn more: Subaru.com/outback
We have included two versions of the commercial below, the original extended version and a version that includes an audio description for the blind or visually-impaired.
