Cancer took Maire Kent's life, before she died she met with George Wurtzel and asked him to build a boat to carry her ashes from Lake Michigan to the Atlantic Ocean. A Memorial Campaign has been started in Maire's honor to raise $1,000,000  for Cardiac Sarcoma Cancer Research.

Dear Friends,
I'm writing to you in hopes you will take the time to review "Maire's Journey" and, perhaps, support an extraordinary and emotionally touching film.  You have the opportunity to be a part of a personal journey that will possibly be seen by millions of people. We have been in production for over a year now.
The story is about Maire Kent, a young twenty-four year old, one time PFC in the US Army, cancer patient who fought bravely to the end with a rare form of cancer called cardiac sarcoma.  Her story is so compelling it will surely provoke deep conversation about what a cancer patient goes through and, in this case, how Maire faced her death.  Her real-life documentary will teach us all a great deal about living and dying.
Mr. Tom Rau, Co-Executive Producer and Michigan resident, has graciously committed a substantial amount of personal financial support. This will help with the production costs to finish  filming the final stages this coming summer on Lake Michigan and the Eastern seaboard. As you will read we are still documenting Maire's story.
This is one of the reasons this film will be so extraordinary. Once you watch the trailer you will fully understand the scope of this endeavor. We are certain this will impact the lives of thousands of cancer patients as well as families who have lost loved ones to cancer in some way.
We are hoping you will consider joining the team.
I would like to invite you to look at our project on by going to Indiegogo.   https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/maire-s-journey--2/x/5173#home
You will be able to choose from a wide range of donation choices, all of which offer some type of gift in return.
Please share this with friends who you feel will see the importance of a story about a young cancer patient's fight to live and her dreams to sail off into the sunset.
